Mutton Chops

Background: Meet Mutton Chops, a single male rabbit who is looking for a new home with a suitable companion. He originally came to Raystede due to allergies. He then found a home but unfortunately his companion passed away and the owners did not want to continue the cycle of rabbit ownership. He is now ready to start looking for a new home and companion. During his stay at Raystede he has shown his confident personality despite being deaf. Whilst he is happy to be independent of people, he still comes running over to check to see if you have tasty treats for him! Home wanted: Munch is used to living indoors but would be suited to an indoor or outdoor home, that is at least 3m x 2m x 1m. He has been enjoying his outside run at Raystede and spends a lot of time grazing, binkying and loafing in the garden. Children: Could live with older teens/adult only home. As he is a distinguished older gentleman, sometimes Mutton Chops will let you know he wants his own space so would prefer a home without children. Recommend limited handling. Other animals: Requires a companion - would only be suited for a spayed female as he has not gotten along with other males in the past. Must be kept separate from other pets in the home. Additional needs: He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Adopters will need to keep yearly vaccinations up to date. Enclosure must be minimum of 60ft² for a bonded pair. He has required some veterinary treatments during his stay with us including dental work for minor spurs and a tear duct flush/eye ulcer. This will need to be monitored and necessary treatments sought as necessary. Additional attention to grooming - must keep his mutton chops matt free!
