Toffee

Meet our sweet girl, Toffee! Our lovely Toffee is a timid girl who is on the shyer side. She is taking her time to come out of her shell, but each day she is making little steps forward and becoming more settled into her new routine. It doesn't seem as though Toffee has had lots of handling in the past, but she has been such a good girl with the team here. She allows staff to do what they need to do and, with patience and gentle interaction, she is slowly learning that she can trust the people around her. Toffee will need a patient and understanding rabbit owner with plenty of experience who is willing to give her the time she needs to feel comfortable and secure. Her new family will need to let her settle at her own pace, allowing her to build confidence through positive experiences rather than expecting too much from her too soon. With a calm environment, gentle handling and plenty of patience, we hope Toffee will continue to discover just how wonderful life can be. We haven't had the opportunity to bond Toffee with another rabbit while she has been at the centre. She has lived with rabbits previously, but as she is currently finding things quite stressful, we feel she would benefit from some time as a single rabbit, allowing her new family to focus on her individual needs and helping her gain confidence in her new surroundings first.
