Thor is an energetic and sociable boy, who loves running through his tunnels and gnawing his way through a cardboard forage box! He adores his human friends for company, so much that he has been known to give staff & volunteers gentle licks on your hand. Thor can be a little reserved around handling at times, but this has improved whilst he's been in our care. At the centre we have tried multiple attempts to bond Thor with a female rabbit, but unfortunately every time it has resulted in negative behaviours of fighting, particularly initiated by Thor where injuries were sustained. We have had our onsite behaviourist work closely with him, and it has been agreed that it is in Thor's best interest to rehome him as a single rabbit. Thor also arrived to us as a stray, so there is potential that he previously had bad experiences with other rabbits. From our observations, we know he would thrive with the companionship of his new owners, as he is such a people-bunny! He would require at least one meeting where staff can discuss Thor and his requirements. Due to Thor's special requirements of needing a single bunny home, we feel he would benefit most from an indoor set up where he can be close to his new human family. But, the option to provide him secure and supervised time outdoors on the grass is desired.
