Mushroom

Mushroom is an estimated 8–12 months old and arrived at the rescue in October 2025. She spent an unknown amount of her life living loose outside, and as a result she is still learning to trust people. She is getting much braver and will come over for food now, and occasionally let you stroke her, but she also spooks easily. She needs a patient and experienced owner who is happy with however much interaction Mushroom chooses to offer. Mushroom will need to be bonded with at least one other rabbit and would benefit from a companion who is laid back, to show her the world isn't quite as scary as she thinks. She has made brilliant progress in her time at the rescue, but she may always be a rabbit who just wants to do rabbity things rather than spend much time interacting with people. She is only young and full of energy and is a joy to simply watch her do her own thing. She is best suited to an outdoor home, though she could maybe live indoors if it was a very quiet adult-only household with the rabbits in their own room. She will need a minimum space of 6ft x 10ft, however bigger is always better. This space needs to be available 24/7 and be fully predator proof. Mushroom is not suitable for homes with children.
