Basil & Buttercup

Hi, I’m Basil!   I’m a gentle soul with a cautious heart, but I’ve come a long way! I live with my best friend (and bonded partner) Buttercup – she’s my rock. She’s a bit braver than me when it comes to humans, and I learn a lot from her. Thanks to her (and lots of patience from our foster parents), I’m starting to realise that people can be pretty great – especially when they have snacks.   Speaking of snacks… did someone say strawberry tops? Or fenugreek crunchies? I love my food and get especially excited when I hear the fridge open – that sound usually means something delicious is coming my way. I might be shy, but I’ll definitely hop over to investigate if I think there’s a treat involved!   I’m very tidy and love munching on my hay – although sometimes Buttercup grabs the bits I want, so I have to be quick and sneaky to steal them back (all in good fun, of course!). I’m not a fan of being picked up, but if you go slow and earn my trust, I’ll let my cheeky personality shine and even take treats from your hand.   Buttercup and I are looking for a calm, loving forever home where we can stay together. We currently live indoors, but we’d also be happy in a secure outdoor setup – as long as it’s comfy and safe. What matters most to us is having humans who understand that love and trust take time, and are willing to be patient as we settle in. We’re looking to only be around adults and not a home with kids as they’re too quick and loud for us.   Could you be the one to give us our happily ever after? Hi, I’m Buttercup!   I’m a curious, clever little lady with a big heart – and I’m bonded with my best friend Basil, who I love very much. He can be a bit shy, but I’m helping him grow in confidence every day. I’m the braver one when it comes to humans, and I like to check things out first to make sure they’re safe… then Basil usually follows my lead!   I’m still learning to fully trust people, but I’ll happily come over for a treat (especially if it’s a fenugreek crunchy – yum!) for my foster carers who I have been with for a long time and have learned to trust. I love exploring new things. I’m quite tidy and well-behaved, and I’m always keeping an eye on Basil to make sure he’s okay. He tries to steal hay from me sometimes, but I let him get away with it because, well… I do love him.   I’m not keen on being picked up (what bunny is?), but I enjoy gentle interactions on my own terms after I get plenty time to settle in and have learned that you're ok. If you’re patient and kind, I’ll warm up to you and show you my playful, cheeky side. I’ve been learning that humans can be pretty great – especially when they come with snacks!   Basil and I are looking for a forever home together where we’ll be loved just as we are. We currently live indoors, but we’d also be happy in a secure outdoor space, as long as it’s safe and comfortable. All we need is a little patience, a lot of love, and a place to call home with someone that is looking to watch us be rabbits rather than have cuddles. We can only be rehomed with adults and won’t be suitable for a home with kids.   Could that be with you?
